Hare Krishna

Our first album Itorpona was an enormous hit. But even after attaining such huge success, there had been a long delay in releasing our second album. The reason behind this is absence of commercial producers or investors to support our venture. This is quite natural in the world of independent music.

We wanted to record our new album in the best place of the country so we waited for the opportunity to do so. Our new album Hare Krishna has been fully recorded in Yash Raj Studio at Mumbai and it has been our absolute luck to get a chance to work with Shri Vijay Dayal Ji, who is not only the greatest Sound Engineer of India but also is a very established name throughout the world in this field. He was present in the whole recording session and we were delighted to get a chance to learn from him a lot.

Mix master of the album has also been done at Mumbai and we have used the latest audio technology Dolby Atmos.

There is a punch behind the name of our new album. Audience have seen and heard us performing with a song called ‘Hare Krishna’. Most people think that this song is a complete song by itself, which is actually not like that. ‘Hare Krishna’ is a mantra chanted by Lord Shri Chaitanya Dev, ‘Akhono Se Brindabone’ is a composition by Bhaba Pagla and ‘Hari Haraye Namah Krishna Jadavaye Namah’ is a phrase by Shri Narottam Das. We have brought these together and tried to frame a song.

Like our first album, Hare Krishna also has eight songs, some of which are quite known and some are not so well known among people. Bengali Kawali has been our uniqueness since we rendered the song ‘Delhi te Nijamuddin Auliya Elo’ and it was hugely accepted by the audience. In this album also, there are some Bengali Kawali songs.
