Born and raised in Hooghly, West Bengal, Satyajit Mukherjee discovered his passion for rhythm at an early age. With over two decades of professional experience, he has established himself as one of India's versatile drummers and percussionists, known for his musical sensitivity and dynamic stage presence.

Active since 1998, Satyajit is a Zildjian Artist of India and Vic Firth Artist of India, proficient in Acoustic Drums, Percussions, Octapad, Shree Khol, Dholak, Kanjira, and a wide range of rhythm instruments. His musical vocabulary effortlessly blends Fusion, Indian Classical, Folk, and contemporary styles, allowing him to collaborate across diverse musical landscapes. He has also been awarded the Trinity College London Grade 5 Drum Kit – Level 2 Certificate in Graded Examination in Music Performance with Merit, reflecting his commitment to technical excellence and internationally recognized musical standards.

For over a decade, Satyajit has been performing alongside Percussion and Tabla Maestro Pandit Bickram Ghosh, sharing the stage at prestigious concerts and festivals. A member of the Calcutta Cine Musicians' Association (CCMA), he has also been associated with acclaimed bands such as The Missing Link and Plan B, while continuing to excel as a sought-after session and guest drummer.

Satyajit has performed at prestigious events such as Celebrating India @70 in Colombo, the Kolkata International Film Festival, the Bengal Global Business Summit, and many other national and international concerts. He also contributed as a percussionist to the acclaimed Bengali film Belaseshe.
